Dear Abbot Primate, dear sisters,
It is a great honor and privilege for me and for the community of Sveta Marija to be able to welcome you here in the city of Zadar, city that has lived glorious moments as well as tragic moments through three thousand years of its history. The Benedictine community of Sveta Marija is present in this city for almost one thousand years giving a strong impact to its development. It is also a great joy for all of us to have this opportunity to live these several days in true “communio internationalis benedictinarum” with all of you coming from all over the world. During your stay in Croatia you will be able to see some of the beautiful places of our country and to meet all the Benedictine communities in Croatia. We will do our best to make your stay in our community pleasant and our work fruitful.
